Job Description
QUALITY MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an established international manufacturing company with its US headquarters in WNY is looking to hire a Quality Manager to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a fresh perspective on the importance of quality directly and indirectly managing a team of quality engineers and inspectors
- Consult with crossfunctional team to design and implement quality standard for compliance parts and products across all global operations
- Work with Engineering Product Management Operations Customer Service and technical support to improve customer experience
- Develop programs policies and workflows to support and improve Quality initiatives
- Investigate customer quality issues for root cause and set in motion preventative action plans
- Audit work instructions processes and procedures to ensure each build is to design and engineering specifications
- Assess warranty claims to determine the root cause and implement corrective action plans
- Manage internal quality audit system and perform regulatory audits (ISONSF process)
- Develop and participate in the recruitment onboarding training and improving quality team performance
- Collect and report all KPI metrics to track quality productivity cost of quality Voice of Customer and employees development plans
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure and improve quality of service and parts
- Maintain compliance with national and international safety and quality standards
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time standard 4045 hours per week direct hire
- Position is 100% inoffice standard 1st shift hours with some flexibility when dealing with suppliers overseas
- Minimal travel may be required domestically and internationally (passport necessary) to Canada China Mexico and/or India
- International travel likely 23 times a year for 35 business days
- 5 years Quality Management/Industrial Manufacturing experience
- $100000 $125000 annually depending on experience
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering discipline preferred
- Six Sigma Certified Green or Black Belt preferred
- ASME / ASQC Certification preferred
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Selfmotivated
