We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Marketing and Sales to lead our global marketing sales and application engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies driving sales growth and leading highperforming teams in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and sales strategies to enhance our brand presence increase market share and maximize growth and profitability.
- Lead and mentor the global marketing and sales team (Switzerland Slovakia USA Taiwan China) to exceed sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Oversee the application engineering team ensuring they understand the customer needs deliver exceptional support and provide innovative solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends opportunities and challenges in the marketplace and work with engineering to capture emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with product management and product development teams to align marketing and sales strategies with new product launches.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers industry partners and stakeholders and support in vital contract discussions.
- Drive marketing initiatives including trade shows social media email campaigns and SEO optimization.
- Establish and execute optimal organizational structures and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of sales operations.
- Prepare and manage the annual marketing and sales budget and ensure accuracy and currency in sales forecasting.
- Report to the CEO and board members on marketing and sales performance metrics and strategic plans.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing and sales with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within hightech industries; Photonics industry preferred.
- Holds a MSc degree in Photonics Physics Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and drive highperforming global teams.
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Indepth knowledge of market research digital marketing strategies and sales tactics.
- Experience in global sales and a good understanding of international markets.
- Strong analytical skills datadriven thinking and operates with a proactive and pragmatic work approach.
- Has a convincing and empathetic personality and a positive mindset.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Proficiency in English is required while fluency in German or Chinese would be advantageous.
