Litigation Legal Secretary

Position Overview:We have an opening for a Client Service Specialist (Legal Secretary) in our Century City office to support our Litigation Department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a consistent physical presence to facilitate an interactive and collaborative environment.
- Coordinate legal practice tasks and projects.
- Coordinate administrative functions including finance/billingrelated tasks time and expense entry opening new matters client presentations meetings and other administrative projects.
- Coordinate with and delegate to firm resources in International offices.
- Prepare complex legal documents and correspondence; file with the appropriate court or agency.
- Coordinate support through the Finance Department including editing and reviewing client bills.
- Review and support the client billing process including proofreading application of task codes matter management and maintenance of billing protocols.
- Manage the legal and administrative practices of attorneys.
- Work overtime as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree (preferred).
- At least 5 years of legal secretarial experience or relevant legal experience.
- Litigation experience.
- Advanced ability to organize prioritize coordinate delegate and work as part of a team.
- Advanced proficiency in rules of English grammar spelling and punctuation; bilingual proficiency as required.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word MS Outlook MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Advanced knowledge of timekeeping expense processing and legal billing.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant jurisdictional/court/agency processes and procedures.
- Proven ability to function as a coordinator with other firmwide departments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
