Chemist Analytics and Quality

We are looking for a handson chemist with a strong analytical background and dedication to product safety. You will be working for the Esterification plant in which the cholesterol lowering ingredient used in our Benecol products plant stanol ester is produced.

Your main tasks will be

• Coordinate analytics in the plant stanol ester production plant.
• Update and develop laboratory methods.
• Maintain and purchase laboratory equipment and devices.
• Deputize laboratory technician.
• Report production and raw material assays to support and maintain product safety and quality.

In this position you will be working with several analytical and process equipment such as GC autoclave titrator crystallizer LC and UVVis spectrometer. Theoretical understanding in analytical chemistry and chemical processes is a necessity to success in your tasks. You have an ability to analyze document and report experimental results as well as cooperate across organizations. Process safety and quality related duties include tasks such as factorys selfmonitoring analyses determine production limit values and conduct product shelflife studies.

The location of the workplace is in the Esterification plant process laboratory Raisio Finland. Hybrid work is possible only occasionally. We require safe working practice and fluent professional Finnish and English.
