Semiconductor Fabrication Technician

At Lumiphase we are looking for a fulltime Semiconductor Fabrication Technician to join our team of 50 employees and add support in our Fabrication unit.

In this role you will work on versatile and dynamic tasks with an engaged team that is innovating at the forefront of integrated photonic semiconducter communications.

Tasks

• Perform technical & administrative duties with external suppliers in the semiconductor processing field
• Manage material stock inventory & wafer logistics
• Document technical work
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers researchers technicians and operators

Requirements

• A technical education Trade/Vocational or Bachelor degree in engineering material science physics or other relevant field
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure with a special focus on Microsoft Office tools (Excel Power Point Word)
• Experience in semiconductor device processing supplier interactions
• Experience with mask designs and gds files is a plus
• Very good organizational skills particularly when managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to learn quickly and to transfer that knowledge to others
• Experience dealing with rapidly shifting priorities to flexibly meet business needs and deadlines
• Strong team working and good verbal and written English communication skills. German communication skills are a plus

Our recruitment process consists of three stages:

1. A 30 min. phone interview with our People & Culture team member to discuss your general career motivations and present our company and this role.
2. A 11.5 hour phone interview with 12 members of the hiring team to deep dive into the core skills requirements.
3. An onsite visit to interview with and meet many members of the team that you would be working in. This often includes lunch and gives you a strong sense of the company culture and individuals.

Then both parties take their decisions! We aim to complete all steps in one month but also allow for modifications to ensure both sides have a full picture of the skills and culture match to take the decision in an informed way.
