Frontend Engineer

Position Overview:

As a Frontend Developer you will play a crucial role in the organization which operates within a multicultural international environment characterized by diverse backgrounds. English serves as the primary communication language and we employ an agile collaboration methodology specifically utilizing the Kanban framework. Your responsibilities include developing highquality TypeScript React applications supporting crossfunctional teams with technical expertise and ensuring that our products not only look great but also function flawlessly.

Responsibilities:

TypeScript/React Development:

• Design implement and maintain our React applications ensuring they meet our architectural standards.
  
• Collaborate closely with design and product teams to turn mockups and user stories into beautiful responsive and functional user interfaces.
  

Unit Testing:

• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure the quality of the applications.
  
• Collaborate with the QA team to address and resolve defects and issues.
  

Architectural Standards:

• Ensure adherence to the company s architectural and coding standards like MicroFrontend architecture.
  
• Seek opportunities to refactor and optimize code for performance and scalability.
  
• Contribute with new ideas technology and development patterns
  

Support and Collaboration:

• Assist other departments in the organization with technical topics providing insights and solutions
  
• Work in tandem with backend developers to integrate APIs and services.
  

• Keep uptodate with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development and the tech stack we use.
  
• Participate in internal training sessions workshops and code reviews.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science
  
• Familiarity using agile development methodologies
  
• Experience building object oriented web applications in JavaScript HTML5 and CSS3
  
• Proficiency in CSS HTML TypeScript and JavaScript
  
• Knowledge and expertise in frontend frameworks and libraries such as React Angular and Vue.js
  
• Proficient in writing Unit Tests.
  
• Experience with modern web technologies and responsive design.
  
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling partial page updates and AJAX
  
• Strong knowledge of Git and comfortable in working with branches merging code and resolving conflicts.
  
• Knowledge or experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging using developer tools such as Chrome DevTools and Google lighthouse
  
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
  
• Experience or knowledge about authentication and authorization processes (i.e. OpenID Connect OAuth SAML SSO)
  

• A good eye for design and an understanding of design principles
  
• Understanding of SaaS application development.
  
• Familiarity with database systems (relational and NoSQL) like PostgreSQL MongoDB Redis
  
• Understanding of serverless architecture and microservices
  
• Familiarity with AWS and its core services
  

• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Problemsolving mindset with a passion for innovation and experimentation.
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English. Speaking and understanding French or German is a plus.
