Job Description

Overview:

For our esteemed Army client we are actively looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing topnotch care to activeduty military personnel their dependents eligible Navy civilian employees and other beneficiaries. This role requires strict adherence to contract terms and government regulations.

Location: U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella Italy.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive RN services in the Medical Homeport following the statement of work and ethical guidelines.
  • Deliver care to active duty military personnel dependents eligible Navy civilian employees and other beneficiaries.
  • Maintain physical capability for extended standing and normal ambulation.
  • Adhere to Executive Order 12731 DoD and DON regulations.
  • Follow principles outlined in SECNAVINST 6300.3A for medical malpractice claims.
  • Perform administrative duties maintain clinical workload and participate in quality assurance functions.
  • Execute physicians orders practice aseptic techniques and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Perform a full range of RN duties including triage patient assessment monitoring and documentation.
  • Provide treatment discharge instructions and emotional support to patients.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of selfcare and contribute to patient progress.
  • Serve as the firstline primary care team member overseeing and coordinating care for the patient population.
  • Address medical issues with a compassionate and comprehensive approach meeting the standards of ambulatory care nursing practice.

Special Requirements:
  • Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing a Graduate Diploma in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited agency such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in any one (1) of the 50 States the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Have successfully completed at least 12 classroom hours of continuing education within the preceding 24 months that maintains skills and knowledge as an RN.

Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in delivering healthcare services in a military setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with applicable Executive Orders DoD and DON regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding healthcare environment.

Supervision and Duty Hours:
  • Be subject to daytoday supervision and work 40 hours each week (0MondayFriday) in the assigned clinical area.
