Key responsibilities Drive Masala to the front of breaking news under Bollywood and Entertainment. 10 articles on the website, or web stories, 5 days a week. Work from the Dubai office daily, WFH is not permitted. Work to ensure Masala is the first to identify a potential story. Work with social media team and all staff in Dubai to create successful article/ web story content. Trend analysis should be your daily routine. Make sure all content is executed in line with Masala s SEO and social strategies. Support the Dubai Editor in the overall production, execution and management of Masala s digital, social and print products. Alongside the Editor and SEO Manager, ensure Masala s editorial standards are met, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines. Undertake reviews and attend events outside of office hours, or on weekends. Personal attributes and essential skills A do-er, and always willing to take on new challenges. Approachable I attitude. Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practices. Data driven and excited by analytics. Tech savy, should know how to make short video content for IG, design feature images, IG reels and TikToks. Superb organisational and admin skills. Able to work creatively and efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines. Willingness to learn if even tasks seem challenging. A demonstrable passion for and excellent knowledge of digital content creation. Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Flexibility and a professional approach at all times. Softwares: Wordpress, Google Analytics (desirable), Photoshop (desirable), Canva (must-know). Education: Must have an undergraduate degree or can be perusing an equivalent industry qualification. Should have a strong liking for all things Bollywood and Fashion. Should be able to brainstorm new content ideas daily. Should be the team s go to support person. Should be open to constrictive criticism and learn as much as they can during the time of their internship.
