Medical Billing Representative III

• Following the patient visit review provider s documentation and coding to ensure that all appropriate codes have been recorded and that all recorded codes are supported with documentation. Add or delete codes as appropriate.
  
• Provides education to medical providers other clinical staff and business office personnel on coding concepts and current documentation rules
  
• Assist in the processing of all insurance claims via electronic/hardcopy in a timely manner.
  
• Prints daily reports verifying charge/payment entry balancing at day end. Post batch on a daily basis logging as appropriate.
  
• Prioritize work received and complete in a timely manner.
  
• Initiates and answers telephonescreens calls takes messages and provides information as needed.
  
• Assist Patient Accounts Specialist when necessary.
  
• Maintains strictest confidentiality in regard to patients account.
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
  
• Certified Professional Coder diploma from an accredited program
  
• Bilingual English/Spanish
  
• Knowledge of medical billing practices and clinic policies and procedures.
  
• Knowledge of medical terminology ICD9/ICD10 CPT and HCPCS coding.
  
• Knowledge of insurance company operating procedures.
