About the position:
This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise understanding of SAP systems (like S/4HANA) data architecture principles integration methodologies and security frameworks. The individual is expected to provide leadership technical guidance and actionable insights to ensure optimized solutions efficient data flows and robust security measures within the organizations SAP ecosystem. Additionally the role demands effective communication skills to translate technical complexities into understandable terms for business counterparts and leadership.
Requirements
Responsible For:
- Audit delivered solutions in S/4 CDS Views and Datasphere models identify potential technical debt and deviations from industry best practices
- Determine justification/usage of standard content versus custom CDS View wrappers
- Challenge use of custom development versus using standard replication functionality in Datasphere such as table replication via Dataflow
- Review deliverables against agreedupon architecture identify instances of deviations such as harmonization layer or excessive usage of database schemas (spaces)
- Architect and Deliver SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Architecture
- Design test and deliver SAC Technical System Landscape (DEV UAT PROD)
- Design test and deliver SAC Deployment Architecture
- Design test and deliver Security Controls for SAC (At folder data set row level)
Design test and deliver SAC connectivity to S4/HANA Datasphere and external data sources (Excel etc.) - Architect and Deliver SAP Analytics for Office (AFO) Solution
- Design test and deliver AFO System Landscape (DEV UAT PROD) for Key Control Reports
- Design test and deliver Deployment Architecture for Key Control Reporting
- Design test and deliver AFO connectivity to S4/HANA Datasphere
- Architect integrated SAP security solution for SAC and AFO
- Harmonize security approach across heterogenous technical solutions specifically to manage analytics use cases
- Ensure simple and scalable security framework for an efficient and timely implementation of security roles and governance
Consult On:
- Advise integration solution from S/4 or BW to SAP and boundary systems including handson development of custom interfaces and replication configurations.
- Swiftly develop prototypes to validate integration junctions and premises put forth by the System Integrator.
- Musthave functional background to translate business requirements (Finance Sales Mfg) into technical solutions
- Coordinate integration activities across teams highlighting technical gaps into terms that business counterparts and leadership can understand and act upon
- Design replication framework across application platforms using SLT ODP ODATA CDC and extraction technologies
- Analyze data flows between heterogeneous environments seek out performant and efficient alternatives that utilize the least amount of custom dev and middleware.
- Help promote and demonstrate better usage of replication capabilities allowing for near real time synchronization of business relevant data across different systems and applications
- Determine integration layers can be simplified and bottlenecks avoided by using more direct data acquisition techniques such as apis or remote functions vs multi step flat file approach
