Job Description

Motif8 Embroidery & Print Ltd has been trading 15 years and is well established within the garment decoration industry.

Owned by husband and wife team Chris and Sian Pomfret both exserving members of the Armed Forces. Chris and Sian are totally focused on customer satisfaction and believe in building sound relationships with their customers by exceeding expectations in quality price and turnaround time.

Job Purpose: To receive and check off deliveries pick garments for orders and dispatch completed orders.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Receive and sign for deliveries ensuring that the correct address are on all boxes and the quantity signed for match that number of boxes received.
  • Check each deliver against the delivery note ensure all contents are correct. In the event of an error informing the production manager. Delivery notes are to be handed to the accounts department.
  • Using the order forms pick garments for orders ensuring that the correct type size color and quantity are picked.
  • Orders which have been completely picked are to be moved up for production as the weeks arrive. Ensuring that orders statuses are marked on the production sheet.
  • Orders that are outstanding are to be kept aside and fulfilled as garments are delivered.
  • Orders that have been completed are to be recounted before being dispatch can begin.
  • Each dispatched order is to ensure that they are boxed taped and labeled correctly.
  • Orders that require collection are to be identified to sales department where the customer will be called.
  • Completed order forms are to be given to accounts department for production of invoices.

Other duties:

  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care and maintenance of the equipment and for which the role has responsibility.
  • Adhere to health and safety policy
  • Maintaining and keeping the working area in a clean and tidy fashion.
  • Ensure that the outside of the building is kept clean and any weeds are removed.
  • Liaising with Supervisor and Production Manager in relation to due dates and deadlines.
  • Report any problems with equipment to the line Manager.

At the end of the day the warehouse area is to be closed down and secured ensuring the following:

  • All areas are tidied ensuring walkways are clear desk is tidy and bin area is neat as possible.
  • Secure the rear entrance and roller door ensuring they are padlocked correctly.
  • Ensure the boiler and other appliances (not including the fridge) in the staff canteen are switched off. And ensure the canteen door is closed.
  • If all other employees have left the factory the lights and heating are to be switched off. Ensure that their respective toilets are secured by turning off the light closing windows and doors.
  • When leaving the premises to ensure that no single individual female is left in the building alone for the purposes of security.
  • To sign in and out at the start and end of each shift.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience is not necessary training will be provided.
  • Basic numeracy qualification
  • An eye for detail and good concentration skills needed.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • A good level of fitness is required as you will be required to stand on your feet all day and move heavy boxes.

Monday to Friday 09:00 17:00

Overtime during summer months (mostly Saturdays)

20 Days holiday a year plus 8 days bank holiday

Apprenticeship wage for first year of employment and then to national living wage for Candidates age range. Wage reviews will be carried out based on performance reviews. Potential for wage increases before completion of apprenticeship. Full time position for the right candidate after the completion of the apprenticeship.

Salary: From 10982.40 per year
