Job Description

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a multinational company and a leader in manufacturing products for diverse industries. The company is well established with many years of keeping strong foundations and investing in research and innovation. To support their continued investment in growing within the US we have been called on to assist them in identifying a Finance Director.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

The Finance Director will oversee administration accounting taxation finance treasury planning and control activities. The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring correct procedures and compliance with the companys GAAP IFRS and other policies and standards.

This role will support leadership in assessing improving and controlling business performance for the USA business. The Finance Director will oversee the economic and administrative management ensuring correct valid and ontime reporting for the various manufacturing and commercial businesses. The Finance Director will supervise current businesses prepare growth plans supervise financial performance and provide financial projections.

The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the management team in order to improve sales margins cash flow and KPIs.
  • Oversee budgeting (Sales Opex Capex…) and planning process In cooperation with Company President and in compliance with Group guidelines and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit monthly P&L and Balance Sheet Reports. Oversee revenue recognition accruals calculation reserves calculation and adjustments inventory valuation and absorption analysis.
  • Prepare and submit other reports for the parent company on time and conform to the companys GAAP IFRS and other policies and standards: Sales and Margin Trade Working Capital Capex Headcount and other reports as required.
  • Analyze AP/AR and other obligations to manage cash flow and prepare and submit a monthly cash flow report to the parent company.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to assure the company has the necessary financial resources for the business and longterm growth.
  • Manage AR and Credit collections including setting customer credit limits AR aging debt arrangements with external customers and consulting with legal counsel as required.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the accounting team.
  • Act as a single point of contact for internal and external auditors supporting the audit information requirements from other departments.
  • Validate the annual physical inventory and cycle count process as conducted by the Operations Manager.
  • Verify the ERP and other IT systems employee access permissions and that the systems provide the necessary information for company reporting.
  • The Finance Director with the support of USA Tax CPA Counsel will direct and supervise tax management and optimization. Ensure Federal State and Local tax compliance and other taxrelated matters (tax declaration transfer pricing etc.).
  • Provide support to President for legal aspects of the company in coordination with company legal counsel and advisor.

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration.
  • Min. 5 years of management position experience in financial controlling / FP&A and accounting. Experience with treasury/bank relationships and external CPA firms for tax planning and review.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS compliance doubleentry accounting processes and international standards.
  • Experience in global companies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to meet short deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as manage teams to meet objectives.
  • Ensure team leadership and talent development.
  • Build a strong and trusted relationship with the local leadership team the parent company and global subsidiaries (matrix organization).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Resultoriented planning and beliefs.
  • High proficiency with Enterprise (ERP) software systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Experience within a manufacturing company with a commercial distribution model.
  • English language required


The compensation range offered is USD/year.
