Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Researcher Associate to join our research team working in our lab in Thousand Oaks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various laboratory tasks primarily focused on protein analytics and purification processes. This role is a fulltime position and will play a crucial part in supporting our ongoing scientific projects and maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Protein Analytics:
- Conduct routine protein analysis experiments and assays.
- Accurately record and report experimental data.
- HPLC Analytics and Buffer Preparation:
- Assist with HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analyses.
- Prepare and maintain buffers and reagents for HPLC experiments.
- Experimental Setup for Protein Purifications and Filtrations:
- Prepare equipment and materials for largescale protein purification and filtration processes.
- Collaborate with senior researchers in setting up experiments.
- Lab Safety Evaluations:
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and report potential safety hazards or issues.
- Waste Treatment:
- Handle the proper disposal of laboratory waste materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. biology chemistry biochemistry).
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures.
