The Role:
We have exciting growth plans over the next two to three years and are looking for ambitious and motivated people to join our awardwinning teams.
Managing a portfolio of 14 x 121 networking events around the world in the dental veterinary pharmacy & fuel & convenience retail sectors.
Overall objective:
As Portfolio Director your primary responsibility is leadership of the team and the businesss commercial performance to ensure it meets the growth targets set by the founders and CloserStill Media.
Main Duties:
General Management/Leadership
Day to day management and motivation of the event team.
Set monitor and evaluate performance targets and individual bonus plans
Complete staff appraisals and develop and coach and develop all reporting staff
Identify underperformance and take remedial action; identify star performance ensuring team members are given the opportunity to thrive.
Recruit and interview new staff and ensure succession plans are in place for senior team members.
Buyer and Supplier Sales
Manage and motivate the buyer and supplier sales teams to ensure event and financial KPIs are met
Develop and deliver sales strategies with the Account and Sales Managers that meet and exceed targets
Implement strategies to improve yield scale the events and improve retention
Ensure your team develops new revenue streams to maximise the profitability of the business
Ensure high quality delivery & messaging in all sales mailers social media posts and brochures
Monitor sales activity and divert resources when needed
Ensure the prospect base is kept up to date to maintain accuracy of weekly reporting
Lead by example: you are responsible for delivering your personal sales targets
Financial & Reporting
Overall accountability for meeting and exceeding budgeted gross and net contributions.
Ensure costs remain within budget.
Ensuring credit control collects in a timely fashion and before the start of each event
Manage sales performance and adjust the budget where required to ensure overall profitability
Ensure financial systems are uptodate and provide regular financial reporting to founders FD and Executive Board Director
Operations
Set the cost of sales budget in conjunction with the operations team
Ensure operations is delivered in an efficient and costeffective manner.
Oversee the event experience element
Marketing and Content
Build a close involvement with key industry partnerships in conjunction with the buyer sales team
Foster positive and professional relationships with key associations media and commercial partners.
Manage the marketing team (Dot Digital print and production)
Please note that this role requires four days a week in the office with Fridays designated for working from home. These are standard terms unless otherwise agreed
