Job Description

One of our esteemed clients in the ship building industry is currently seeking a Human Capital Development Director to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Overview

Oversee the human capital development activities that ensure proper implementation of talent management frameworks and guidelines along with ensuring a healthy and a positive environment that promotes employees productivity and satisfaction.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Align division goals processes and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
  • Define objectives identifies and evaluates trends and options chooses a course of action and evaluates outcomes.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems and recommending system improvements.
  • Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
  • Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
  • Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives efficiently.
  • Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
  • Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiate business related issues to senior management.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations planning monitoring and appraising job results.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Drive the definition of the HR strategy and the management and planning of HR related initiatives and projects required for achieving the HR strategy.
  • Manage HR analytics and encourage data driven decisions in HR related matters.
  • Lead the efforts of managing and maintaining an uptodate organizational structure of the organization and the related job descriptions to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and requirements.
  • Ensure that all competency frameworks are integrated into the overall Human Capital strategy and talent management programs.
  • Ensure the availability of required number of staff by facilitating and driving workforce planning activities in line with the organizations operational plans and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the organizations rewards philosophy and compensation and benefits programs based on job evaluation outcomes in order to support talent acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Establish the organizations performance management philosophy and maintain a performance management program to support the achievement of the organization strategic objectives and drive continuous dialogue between managers and employees.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures manual and ensure alignment with best practices and existing laws and regulations.
  • Manage the development of the organization career management framework and its activities including defining career movement criteria career paths and promotions management.
  • Lead the development and implementation of an effective succession planning framework that ensures the availability of succession plans for critical roles within the organization.
  • Ensure the embedding of a positive organizational culture and values through managing employee engagement surveys studies and related events and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Drive the design of employee value proposition and employee journey within the organization and advise other Human Capital functions on servicelevel and HR programs and frameworks design implication.
  • Ensure the organization employees happiness and wellbeing through managing work environment optimization projects and employee related social responsibility campaigns and events.
  • Lead organization transformation and change management initiatives to enable the implementation of HR programs and initiatives in order to enable shaping the organization culture and the achievement of its objectives.
  • Lead Internal Communications efforts with the employees through developing employee related messages in alignment with Corporate Communication branding guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree/Masters Degree in Business Administration or any other similar field.
  • 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Saudi Nationals will be given first preference.
