For a customer we are currently looking for a Grid Analysis Expert (f/m/d).

Tasks

• Setup/ Implement Grid Analysis functionalities with focus on State Estimation Loadflow and Network Sec. Analysis based on pandapwoer/ PowerFactory frameworks
• Automate and scale functional testing of the solutions and prepare for validation by endusers
• Create verification benchmarks/ test sets to ensure secure deployment
• Drive technological and architectural decisions in respect to Grid Analysis tooling/ frameworks together with the architect
• Producing clean efficient code based on specifications and guidance
• Adapt expand and fixing pandapower framework
• Put specific focus on user centric software design and develop software that meets and exceeds the needs of our internal customer and as well fits to the requirement for the supported external business process (especially in respect to userinterface design)
• Support Product Owner with the conceptualization of Grid Analysis toolchain based on business requirements
• Support Product Owner in discussions with endusers
• Implementation of technical solutions in deep collaboration with all team members and the Product Line
• Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch in an iterative way
• Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
• Coaching and training of other team members with less experience in Electrical Engineering/ Grid Analysis

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering/IT/techrelated academic degree (bachelors or masters degree) or equivalent through experience
• 2 years Experience using Grid Analysis tools and frameworks (e.g. pandapower PowerFactory PSSE PSCAD Neplan vendor specific solutions e.g. ABB EMS/ MircoSCADA)
• Min. 1 years of knowledge gathered in Grid Analysis/ Calculation
• 2 years Experience from working in the field of TSO/DSO/ Energy Producer/ Institute focused on Network Analysis topics
• Experience in Power Systems/ Electrical Gird Modelling preferably in pandapower/ PowerFactory
• Experience in static and dynamic grid calculations (e.g. State Estimation ShortCircuit Loadflow Dynamic Security Assessment)
• CGMES/ CIM exchange format experience is a plus
• Experience in scripting/ automation with Python
• Experience with working in a Scrum team/ agile
• Understanding of TSO processes for realtime closetorealtime and forecasting is a plus
• Experience/ Skills for UIdevelopment is a plus
• Experience with web integration technologies such as REST and streaming services like KAFKA is a plus
• Language skills: fluently English B2 German is a plus Level B1

Location: Remote (Berlin occasionally)

Duration: 31.10.2024 (with option of contract extension)
