Job Description

Our client Custom Craft is looking for a Project Developer to join their team!

Purpose of Position: The Project Developer is responsible for selling and managing projects from lead intake to production which includes selling a development agreement coordinating the design process assembling proposals and pricing selling a construction agreement and transitioning the project to the production team

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Present self and Custom Craft professionally always. Be a team leader and set the standard for other employees and industry partners to follow.

2. Lead Generation
a. Actively manage sales cookbook and regularly perform prospecting activities to find new project leads.
3. Sales Cycle
a. Promptly follow up with incoming sales leads and further qualify the prospects.
b. Coordinate sales meetings including discovery call inhome consultation feasibility study and presentation.
c. Obtain pictures of existing conditions.
d. Establish core design objectives based on client pains as well as project constraints.
e. Sell a development agreement based on client needs.
4. Project Development
a. Maintain clear communication with client regarding changes/updates to design objectives constraints timing and scope of work.
b. Establish timeline for project development with design team and manage progress.
c. Coordinate and attend design meetings with relevant design professionals and clients.
d. Assist with gathering site information and identifying existing conditions.
e. Assist with creation and review of design documentation blueprints product selections etc.
f. Assist with creation of project estimate specifications and other contractual documents.
g. Provide direction for value engineering package to meet client s design objectives and constraints.
h. Sell a construction/remodel package.
5. PreConstruction
a. Schedule and attend handoff meetings with design and production staff.
b. Schedule and attend preconstruction meetings with client.
6. Construction
a. Maintain regular communications with client (e.g. every 2 to 3 weeks depending on duration of project).
b. Support production staff by answering questions regarding client expectations.
c. Schedule and attend postconstruction meeting with client.
7. Other
a. Keep up to date with networking opportunities and construction knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining networks; participating in professional organizations.
b. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested by supervisor.


Requirements

  • Positive and motivated attitude with good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Attentive listener with ability to communicate effectively and present information in a professional and organized manner.
  • Comfortable working in a processoriented environment with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Proficient in schedule management and coordinating individual and team deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Aptitude for selling; Sandler Sales training preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable engaging in networking and prospecting activities.
  • Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Personal vehicle to get to and from client meetings & job sites.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints with working knowledge of building construction materials and methods.
  • High school graduate with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design/construction industry or affiliate industry
