Job Description

$8000 $12000 SignOn Bonus!!

A nonprofit organization founded in 1910 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Third largest nonprofit behavioral health provider in the U.S. offering a full continuum of services including psychiatric urgent care inpatient and partial hospitalization residential outpatient and teletherapy services addiction treatment and recovery extensive child and adolescent programs senior care services as well as specialized assessment and treatment clinics.

Salary Range: $60113 $85280 (based on 40 hour work week)

Shift Differentials:

  • 7am3pm: Saturday & Sunday at $1.25 extra per hour
  • 3pm11pm: Monday Thursday at $2.00 extra per hour
  • 3pm11pm: Friday Sunday at $3.00 extra per hour
  • 11pm7am: Monday Thursday at $4.00 extra per hour
  • 11pm7am: Friday Sunday at $5.00 extra per hour

12hour shifts at 7:00am7:00pm & 7:00pm7:00am

8hour shifts: 2nd:3:00pm11:30pm & 3rd:11:00pm7:30am

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assesses persons served care needs develops a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and continually reassesses plan of care according to persons served care needs.
  • In collaboration with the physician provides/coordinates nursing care to individuals and groups of persons served.
  • Assists in the teaching of persons served families and provides milieu management. Communicates with and educates persons served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning needs.
  • Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings.
  • Responsible for documenting reporting and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any potential risk to persons served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome.
  • Creates a customer/client friendly environment by following quality improvement standards maintaining professionalism initiating and maintaining positive relationships with departments/programs coworkers and external customers.
  • Provides care in various clinical settings with diverse persons served populations. Identifies specific persons served needs and implements persons served centered compassionate care.
  • Functions as a clinical leader delegating/coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
  • Responsible for the utilization and continued review of patient care protocols standards of practice and standards of care. Gives input into process for improvement.
  • Utilizes and promotes careful use of resources.
  • May be responsible in training direct care staff.
  • May be indirectly responsible for oversight of medication and physical health activities in a program.
  • May be responsible for scheduling staffing and obtaining preauthorizations.
  • Responsible to role model the mission and values of the organization presenting a professional image that is projected in appearance attitudes and behaviors time management and communication skills. Provides spiritual emotional social mental and physical support to patients.
  • In the community residential setting required to support and promote a recovery focused environment and personcentered approach within the program.
  • Commitment to demonstrating the Hospital and Residential Services Model of Care in hospital and residential areas.
  • Responsible to uphold the healing ministry of Christ through relationships that honor integrity stewardship empowerment the promotion of diversity equity inclusion and professional excellence.
  • Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training.
  • Performs other duties or functions as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May function as a charge nurse.
