My People Solutions Recruitment on behalf of a Registered NDIS Provider are seeking a Peer Support Worker who has experience of working with Adults with Trauma Mental Health Autism ADHD Anxiety & Depression who are or have been in the Criminal Justice System and who are seeking peer supports for capacity building skills development.
Important:
You must have the professional & personal skills and experience of providing peer support and building individuals capacity in a Criminal Justice environment and all NDIS related documents (including a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check) to apply.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a similar role in the Criminal Justice System and working with clients with Trauma Mental Health Autism ADHD Depression & Anxiety.
- Understand the requirements of persons with psychosocial & mental health disabilities and have an awareness of the issues of care provision in a forensic environment.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check & NDIS Induction & Orientation Modules a current Police Check Working with Children Check Vaccinations (including COVID) CPR & First Aid & the right to work in Australia.
- Driving Licence and access to a reliable car are essential.
- Cert III Individual Supports Cert IV Disability and / or Mental Health Care Qualification Allied Health Assistant Welfare or equivalent or willing to work towards such a qualification will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary care team across different community sectors.
- Integrity honesty & reliability are critical for this role as is the ability to be able to quickly engage and establish a connection with a diverse group of clients.
