Job Description

Job Title:Operations Director

Location: Home Based initially preferably residing in Melbourne Brisbane or Sydney with a view to working from the office in Melbourne on a hybrid basis

Type: Full Time Permanent

Salary: $140000 to $200000 base dependant on experience plus bonus and benefits

Start Date: ASAP

The role is primarily home based with some travel into a Melbourne (or near) office at some point in the future.

Job description

The company are seeking an ambitious gogetter with a cando attitude and desire to achieve excellent results who will provide a clear focus on client service and operational excellence instilling this attitude in their operational team. The individual must be an assertive and positive people manager ensuring they get the best from an operational team on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will have the aptitude to adapt to the needs of the employees in the operational team providing support understanding and technical direction as needs be in order to create a happy and highperforming team.

They seek an applicant who is happy to dive into the operational detail of the business and ensure that they are delivering a first class customer service.

Key tasks will include

  • Represent the operational side of the business at Board level developing and implementing appropriate plans that facilitate the meeting of all objectives
  • Recruit retain and incentivise a high performing operational team
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the companys current and future client base to encourage repeat business
  • Meet all KPIs and SLA terms that have been agreed with the Board and client base
  • Have a fastidious eye for quality workmanship and set high standards for your team
  • Work alongside the commercial team to deliver projects at the agreed profit level in line with business objectives
  • Forward plan labour resource ensuring suitable productivity is maintained on all projects
  • Ensure that the requirements of customers are met in an efficient and timely manner
  • Driving and motivating all employees and leading performance reviews to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce

Job Specification

  • Developing improving and implementing operations and production plans to meet company goals
  • Managing the daytoday operations of every department establishing company policies implementing necessary changes and adhering to compliance procedures laws and regulations
  • Evaluating overall company performance
  • Providing all necessary reports assisting management in goal setting and promoting company growth and anticipating and forecasting trends and patterns of the company and marketplace
  • Managing finances developing monitoring and analysing the departmental and company budgets and financial reports
  • Creating financial plans for increasing revenue margins
  • Allocating the companys resources materials and equipment to the most productive functions supply chain and delivery management
  • Creating operational strategies to minimise the impact of any failures implementing initiatives to reduce company costs and increasing employee productivity

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

Experience in the insurance industry ideally motor with previous experience of working with claims

Experience in a similar role is advantageous

Understanding of technology and delivering SaaS platforms plus service alongside

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

An ability to work to strict and testing deadlines whilst delivering world class customer service and hitting targets

35 years experience in a similar role and the industry
