NORA the Nationwide Organ Recovery Transport Alliance works with OPOs and Transplant Centers throughout the country to provide the perfect “One Call Solution” for Air and Ground Organ Recovery Transportation. Efficiency attention to details understanding critical time management budget constraints and the importance of your program to the community makes NORA the perfect addition to the Organ Procurement process. We are hiring Organ Transportation Coordinators based in our corporate office located in St. Charles IL.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Triage incoming transport requests from clients via phone and email communication.
- Transfer the information received from the client into dispatch database.
- Develop logistics plans for individual transport including ground commercial air and charter air transportation based on client needs.
- Engage and schedule appropriate transportation resources.
- Dispatch transportation resources via phone providing clear and concise directions as to assignment details.
- Monitor ground and air resources throughout the respective transport ensuring all points of contact are kept up to date on all relevant movements.
- Maintain accurate notes and enter transport updates into dispatch database.
- Build rapport with client coordinators region supervisors and drivers exuding a customer first attitude.
- Empathize with evaluate and escalate client concerns to appropriate members of the management team.
Job Requirements & Preferences - High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in dispatch transportation logistics or medical administrative roles preferred.
- Availability to work all shifts including overnights weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of computer operations sufficient to enter retrieve and manipulate data.
- Ability to speak read and write in English.
- Effectively prioritizes situations and makes decisions based on the information received.
- Able to handle multiple tasks receiving and communicating information to and from several sources while ensuring calls for service are dispatched and monitored in a timely manner.
- Possess a clear and understandable radio and telephone voice.
Team Shift and Schedule Structure Our current structure subject to change at any time is as follows: - Structure 12 hour desk shifts
- Day Shift 6a6p
- Night Shift 6p6a
- Mid Shift 11a11pm
- Shift assignments are typically rotated on a quarterly basis.
- Schedule Structure Three days on three days off.
- Holidays as needed.
