Job Description
Our client is one of the leading suppliers of undercarriage components for heavy mobile equipment and fixed plant in Australia. They are seeking a Heavy Duty HD Fitter (Track Frame Technician) to join their team in Welshpool working closely with the Workshop Manager and Workshop Supervisor.
Responsibilities include
- Track Frame Disassembly
- Utilising heating processes and 100 tonne pressing procedures
- Inspection measuring and reporting on various dozer drill and shovel frames
- Complete Track Frame assembly
- Preparing Track Frames and components for dispatch
- Assist the operations team in achieving company targets for monthly output production profit and ontime delivery
- Interpret and generate reports based on Track Frame inspections
- Driving excellent Risk and HSEQ performance within the Track Frame Team
Requirements
Required
- Mechanical trade qualification
- A sound mechanical understanding of various Undercarriage Frame types including Caterpillar Komatsu Hitachi
- Understanding of HSE requirements within an engineering workshop environment
- Mechanical aptitude to problem resolve quickly and effectively
- High level written oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Prior customer service skills
Desirable
- Forklift Licence
- Experience in similar industries / products
- HLTAID003 First Aid Certificate
