Shift Engineer
We're currently looking for a talent Shift Engineer below qualifications:

• College degree preferably specializing in Engineering, BCS in mechanical or electrical engineering is a must. Hotel experience preferred. Must be able to speak local language(s) good command of English is mandator
• Requires ability to operate computer equipment and computer systems.
• Have good skills in team building and leadership.
  

Job Functions

• The ability to provide service and repairs for electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC, painting and decorating issues.
• The ability to understand and carry out service routines on items of main plant and machinery on a periodic basis.
• To ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
• Handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
• Maintain and re-lamp all lamps in the hotel, including socket repair and replacement.
• To carry out repair work to all equipment inclusive of, but not limited to, replacing and repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, control mechanisms.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of all electrical equipment and updating of appropriate logs.
• To understand and troubleshoot televisions and associated systems.
• Respond to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public areas in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• To understand all mechanical and plumbing systems.
• To carry out first reactions to plumbing breakdowns.
• To repair various items of equipment as requested by other hotel departments.
• To clean grease traps, filters and drains as necessary.
• To assemble desks, shelving, cabinets, etc. as assigned.
• To be conversant with and perform major system shut downs for repairs as required.
• To assist guests with special requests with personal items where safe and practicable.
• Maintain shift engineering logbook, HotSOS service order system and all other engineering required logs.
• Install or relocate any addition or existing equipment when necessary.
• Perform silicone and tiling tasks where required.
• Take meter readings and record on necessary platforms.
• Carry out regular shift engineer rounds of plant and machinery rooms.
• To be able to problem solve and repair toilet systems.
• Respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Departments.
• Respond to all emergency and safety situations such as fires, power failures, etc.
• Take reasonable care to perform duties as instructed, and prevent injuries to self and others.
• Report any safety issues to management or on site security team.
• Follow Hotel Policies and Procedures in relation to WH&S and Injury Management.
