Truck Trailer Technicians

TRUCK TECHNICIANS / TRAILER TECHNICIANS (1^st 2^nd and 3^rd shift positions available) (Permanent)
Our client a locally owned company in WNY is looking to hire a Truck Technicians and Trailer Technicians to join their growing team. These positions report directly to the Fleet Maintenance Manager. 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd shift positions available.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daytoday maintenance and repairs of a wide range of different diesel and nondiesel trucks/equipment
  
• Ensure vehicles are operating at peak levels
  
• Use expertise and electronic tools to diagnose issues and determine the best course of action
  
• Maintain chassis components vehicle refuse bodies and control systems (i.e. hydraulic electrical and air braking) performing repairs when necessary
  
• Repair engines suspensions steering systems and drivetrains when issues arise
  
• Ensure heat/air conditioning systems are operating properly
  
• Maintain air brake systems
  
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of all trucks
  
• Properly document maintenance and repairs as they are performed/completed
  
• Provide roadside assistance/repairs when necessary
  
• Ensure all work is performed with the highest safety standards
  
• Follow standard workorder processes
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  
• Keep a quality inventory of personal hand tools
  
• Work well in a team environment as well as independently developing relationships with coworkers managers and customers
  
• Complete special projects in a timely manner
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full time direct hire; 100% onsite
  
• Valid NYS Driver s License Commercial license preferred
  
• $25.00 $31.00 per hour depending on experience (Class A and Class B); 10% differential if on 2^nd or 3^rd shift
  
• Tool allowance & safety bonus
  
• All shifts available; also open to someone who wants to work four 10hour days
  
• High School Diploma or GED Associates a plus
  
• Class B Mechanic Certification or higher
  
• Knowledge of diesel/non
  
• 2 years experience vehicle maintenance
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills
  
• Selfmotivated
  
• Relocation not available
