Perform daily routine accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial closing and consolidation.
Manage asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports.
Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals for accounting policy and regulations and roll out reconciliation procedures.
Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain general ledger by transferring accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Assist External Auditors by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement schedules.
Prepare paperwork on cost reimbursements and other billings for processing. Develop and maintain supporting worksheets.
Post the necessary journal entry in ERP, prepare trial balance monthly, follow up for statements and cheques collection.
Give recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and/or expenditures and provide interpretation of results as appropriate.
Involved in the periodic Inventory and Asset count and assist in the reconciliations and submitting the variance report.
Prepare the cost sheet for services and coordinate to get approval and implement.
Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, and procedures to carry out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a world-class service.
Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Accounting, Finance, or in a relevant field
Professional Certification or Masters Degree is preferred
Recommended 3+ years of relevant experience and preferred in a similar position/responsibility and/or similar Industry
