Mission Translate is seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team for this fulltime permanent remoteworking position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with all accounting policies and procedures. The role will involve bookkeeping invoicing reconciliation credit control supplier invoices payroll financial reports cash flow forecasting and other tasks as required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills be highly detailoriented and skilled in using Xero accounting software.

This role will include line management responsibilities for two Accounting Executives supporting and helping to coordinate daytoday activities ensuring process compliance conducting employee reviews and assisting with queries.

What youll be doing:

  • Manage daytoday bookkeeping tasks including recording financial transactions reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate records.
  • Process customer invoices and supplier invoices ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage credit control and collections processes including following up on overdue payments and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Prepare and process payroll including tracking employee leave and benefits.
  • Create financial reports and statements including profit and loss statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare and analyse cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Line management of 2 other accounting team members including
  • Assist with annual audits and ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all financial transactions and ensure data integrity.
  • Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams including the sales and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Continuously improve and streamline accounting processes and procedures.
  • Handle any ad hoc accounting tasks as required.

You know you will be a right fit for this role if you have:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role preferably in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detailoriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of local accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
