We have an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Technician to work on CAT Equipment and Trucks.
The ideal candidate will:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment compact heavy equipment light service equipment commercial trucks and light trucks including asphalt rollers excavators wheel loaders pavers rock trucks commercial trucks and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include but are not limited to preventative maintenance inspections hydraulic fuel exhaust brakes suspension electrical HVAC engines transmissions chassis drive line body components hydraulic air brake systems electrical suspension systems and HVAC.
- Read and interprets equipment condition reports and / or repair orders communicates with supervisor for clarification of defects and discuss preventive techniques.
- Complete paperwork associated with repairing equipment documenting parts usage and accounting for applied times.
- Identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Prior experience with or knowledge of maintenance work to be performed on heavy equipment Classes 15 light /medium duty and heavyduty Class 78 trucks.
- A commercial Drivers License is a plus but not required.
- Valid Drivers License.
