Job Description Summary
Manage all aspects of a project from start to finish so that it is completed on time and within budget. Design communicate and implement an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identify develop and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include preparing designs and work specifications; developing project schedules budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials equipment project staff and external contractors. Liaise with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project. Set priorities allocates tasks and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones. Engineering Project Manager :
Support the senior project manager in managing and monitoring complex multimillion dollar rolling stock projects
Monitor progress and create regular reporting accordingly
Focus on timely execution of design documentation within budget and quality requirements
Facilitate communication across multisite / international environments with customers and other stakeholder
Capable to represent the company in front of customers and suppliers participate in negotiations and regular customer project execution meetings
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology Electrical Engineering must have an engineering discipline degree
Ideally a PMP certification
Experience in the field of railway rolling stock ( rail vehicles trains etc ) design / manufacturing or defense / aerospace industries or equivalent
Actual project management experience and previous engineering experience ( started as an engineer now working as a technical project manager )
Fluent in English
