Food and Beverage Manager
The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations. This role requires strong leadership skills a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daytoday operations of the food and beverage department including the restaurant bar and room service
- Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to guests exceeding their expectations
- Create and implement innovative menus taking into consideration guest preferences dietary restrictions and local and estate produce
- Train and supervise staff members on proper food and beverage service procedures ensuring a professional and efficient service
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the food and beverage team providing feedback and coaching to improve performance
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness hygiene and safety in all areas of the food and beverage department
- Manage food and beverage inventory including ordering and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination between food preparation and service
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and vendors
- Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies implementing them to enhance the guest experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations and industry best practices
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
Desired Experience:
The desired experience for the Food and Beverage Manager role at Ballynahinch Castle is a minimum of 3 years in a similar position within the hospitality industry. Candidates with experience in managing highvolume operations knowledge of local and estate produce and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service will be given preference.
