RN Acute Rehab

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization

• Department: Acute Rehab Unit
• Shift timings: Night shift 18:45 - 07:15
• 3 DAYS/ WEEK - 12 hour shift.
• This is a 16 bed unit providing care for adult inpatients needing rehabilitation. Some areas of focus include ortho, neuro and cardiac. This unit is staffed utilizing RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.
• 3 MONTH CONTRACT
  

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
