Systems Engineer - DES01

Our client is an esteemed international firm specializing in investment and technology
development is in search of an inquisitive technology enthusiast to join its Quant Systems team This handson technical role is within an engineering team responsible for highperformance trading and research infrastructure

As a vital member of Quant Systems a global team you will be instrumental in designing and maintaining our firms largest compute infrastructure This includes operating system platforms software development tooling highperformance computing networking and storage for research and trading Your role involves working on a diverse range of technology initiatives in a distributed computing environment

• Scheduling design and implementation
• Fleet management
• Clustered file system design and operation
• Software design and life cycle (SDLC)
• Kernel and network performance tuning for lowlatency and highthroughput
  applications
• metrics collection and data mining analysis

• The ideal candidate will showcase a demonstrated interest in how technology works and possess a degree in computer science or a related technical discipline

• Comparable experience of up to five years

• Proficiency in Python Golang Rust or another similar language is required

• Knowledge of Linuxbased systems and networking is a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must along with superb
  organizational and time management abilities
