Hectic People are looking to find an Event Manager on behalf of one of our partner businesses who are collaborative, passionate about what they do and have a drive to reduce their carbon footprint.

About the role- Event Manager
The Event Manager is responsible for working closely and collaborating with Project Managers to manage front end event management across multiple events for existing and new accounts. This role will also be responsible for driving the sustainability journey forwards for the company. This is a brand-new role within the organisation due to company growth, reporting into the Project Director. Once feeling confident with managing multiple events, this role would involve taking on event production and end to end project management of some of the smaller events that the company manages.
The main responsibilities for the Event Manager role include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting Project Managers in developing and defining project briefs.
  • Actively participating in sprint planning for events.
  • Liaising with clients as required, providing excellent customer service and maintaining client relationships.
  • Management of the supply chain linked to each relevant event, including liaising with suppliers and producing quotes.
  • Resource management for each event.
  • Ensuring that all event details are organised prior to the event including but not limited to rooming lists, delegate management, event staff and vendor management, travel and accommodation bookings.
  • Ensuring that events are running on time and within budget.
  • Onsite management of each event, ensuring that the front end is running smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during events.
  • Analysing each event and creating reports on areas such as event efficiency, sustainability measurement and client satisfaction.
  • Contributing to event wrap up and wash up meetings.
  • Taking a lead on sustainability for the company.
  • Focusing knowledge on Microsoft applications, establishing and encouraging best practice across the team.

The ideal Event Manager will have previous event management experience within a B2B or corporate environment and previous experience of managing multiple events at once. Knowledge and understanding of event production would be a bonus. We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, process driven and enjoys working with Excel. Someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has a passion for sustainability would be a great fit. Perhaps you might have experience as a Corporate Events Manager, Events Manager, Events Executive, Events Account Manager, Events Project Manager or similar.

Please note you do need a full and valid driving license for this role because some of the events are not accessible via public transport and a valid passport is needed for international travel as needed.
