Job Description
As an IT Hardware Asset Technician, you will be responsible for the migration and set up of IT hardware assets. You will work independently and collaboratively to
ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our hardware migration process.
Responsibilities
*Office Relocation Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of the company's office migration, ensuring a seamless transition of all IT assets, including computers, printers, and networking equipment.
Inventory Management: Conduct a thorough inventory of all IT hardware and software assets, accurately labeling and documenting each item to ensure nothing is lost or misplaced during the move.
*Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users, assisting with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer systems and peripherals in the new office space.
*Data Backup and Migration: Safeguard critical data by coordinating data backup procedures and securely transferring files and applications to new workstations, ensuring minimal downtime for employees.
*User Training and Onboarding: Conduct training sessions for staff on the use of new equipment and technology in the new office, addressing questions and issues promptly to maintain productivity.
*Ensure the accurate collection, and storage of IT Hardware Assets
*Assist IT Procurement with achieving competitive pricing from multiple vendors
*Ensure End of Lifecycle and IT Asset Disposal Processes and Policies are met in our
environment
*Familiarity with preparing IT hardware for use
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
*1-2+ years of related Hardware Asset Management experience in ServiceNow
*An understanding of End Point Management tools such as InTune and Jamf
Moderate Experience using Microsoft Excel, and similar tools
*Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the objective of delivering a
positive customer experience
*Proven ability to collaborate, and build relationships, including external vendors and
service providers
*Must be able to perform physical tasks involving lifting and moving objects weighing up
to 50 lbs
*Proficient in using Windows 10/11 and macOS Operating Systems
Bonus Qualifications:
*A+ Certification: Hold a CompTIA A+ Certification to demonstrate technical expertise in hardware and software, confirming the ability to handle various IT-related tasks efficiently.
*ITIL Foundation and/or IAITAM Certified IT Asset Manager certifications preferred
