We re hiring for a Head of People We re looking for a collaborative dynamic and innovative individual who will bring huge experience energy and passion into the Head of People role
At Pargo our Head of People has a  broad reaching mandate which in its essence is to support our team to grow and thrive and deliver against our mission and to help to make Pargo an incredible place to work
Your responsibilities extend across the team member life cycle You will work closely with our People team and our CEO and COO to ensure that our team is motivated engaged productive and aligned to our mission of creating access 
This includes
Sourcing and Hiring finding and recruiting future talent to join our team
Onboarding new joiners setting up our new joiners for success in their team and at Pargo
People Enablement building and running the systems that allow smooth running of the team for areas such as leave salaries contracts policies and performance management
Org Design ensuring our team is structured to optimally deliver against our mission
Learning and development Levelling up team and leaders
Being the steward of our culture embedding our values and behaviours
Team experience and retention owning the way the team engages with each other from the office to social events
Internal communications and tooling owning internal communications such as team meetings as well as tooling and the way the team uses tools to facilitate our work and communicate
Required experience
A degree in BCom HR Management or BCom Industrial Psychology or related field
  years HR/People experience 
Demonstrated experience in a People Leadership role running a People function or significant components thereof
Useful experience
Experience with HR databases Application Tracking Systems (ATS) and Employee Management Systems (HRIS)
Proven theoretical knowledge of current legislation and HR policies
Sound knowledge of labour laws and policies that govern the defined duties
Proven project management skills
Experience in coaching in a changing environment
Is self motivated and excited by the possibilities of technology
Has a systematic approach with an analytical mindset
Learner mindset
Based in Cape Town and can be in our office in Gardens at least days a week
