Job Description

Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician and Diagnostic Technician


Location: Motherwell, ML1 2TH


Basic salary: Between 33,748 - 35,464 (depending on experience and qualifications_ + uncapped bonus potential, overtime opportunities, excellent benefits


Full Time and Permanent

Working hours: 44 hours - Mon to Thu: 7.30 - 17.00, Fri: 7.30 - 16.00 & Sat: 1 in 4 paid overtime



NVQ Level 2 qualified candidates will be considered

Due to the increase in demand and the exciting expansion of our workshop and bodyshop we have opportunities for skilled Mechanics / Vehicle Technician s and Diagnostic Technicians to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. What you will be doing:

Carry out Vehicle checks to company standards

Carry out primary & secondary diagnosis as per company standards

Carry out used car checks as per company guidelines in required time scales

Ensure that 114 checks are sent to Parts Dept for pricing in a timely manner

Fit all necessary parts to manufacturer guidelines within guidelines of required timeframe

Maintain a clean working environment

Ensure all job card write ups in line with company standards

Exceeds 100% of productive efficiency target as per company standard

Ensure all H&S aspects are adhered to in line with company policy

Identify cost savings through regular communication with Supervisor/Line manager

Requirements


What do you need:

Minimum NVQ level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance

Full UK Driving Licence

Multi-brand experience is highly desirable

Ability to work on your own and as part of a busy team

Excellent attention and eye for detail.

Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a busy environment.

Skills & Experience: Ideally, you will have 1+ years experience in a similar marketing assistant / executive role Proven and demonstrable experience in copywriting engaging content for online channels, and ideally the press A thorough understanding of the key social media channels with experience using these platforms (personally or professionally) Strong attention to detail and a creative approach The ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively prioritise your workload Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team An enthusiastic personality with the motivation to learn new skills and develop a broad range of marketing skills Good team player, with a willingness to support within other areas of the marketing department, as required Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines Strong multi-tasker, able to handle several projects at the same time Able to use own initiative and manage time effectively Confidence in using the main Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel Knowledge of marketing tools, including Canva, Mail Chimp, Hubspot, and social media scheduling software is desirable but not essential.
