Job Description

The Relocation Specialist is a temporary position that will last approximately months with the strong possibility of extension The specialists will provide direct support for a relocation project and facilitate all phases of our tenantrelocation process The Relocation Specialists ensure that tenants are relocated as efficiently as possible Our client is contracted with the Department of Housing and Urban Development so this position could be perfect for college students recent college grads entrylevel professionals reentrants to the workforce or even experienced professionals seeking a career change You will be trained and directly overseen by the Corporate Tenant Relocation Coordinator and Corporate Tenant Relocation Specialists


Specific Duties
  • Identify prospective Section landlords in opportunity zones and connect our tenants with these landlords
  • Provide direct housing opportunity counseling to tenants to help them identify homes with access to quality school systems and job opportunities
  • Prepare documents and maintain tenant files for accuracy and completion throughout the relocation process
  • Identify quality housing options for residents and assist them with their application process
  • Ensure that all relocation benefit checks are requested and distributed to residents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Submit a benefit check request spreadsheet (Intermediate Excel) to the corporate office on a weekly basis
  • Scan all benefit receipts to the corporate office on a weekly basis

Requirements
  • Prior management and administrative experience
  • Solid business writing skills
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • Must have reliable form of transportation 
  • One year of management experience (PreferredNot Required)
  • One year of leasing consultant experience (Preferred)
  • Bachelors Degree (Highly Preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Community outreach service experience (Preferred)

Certified Occupancy Specialist (Preferred) Prior management and administrative experience Solid business writing, strong public speaking skills, and strong communication/presentation skills Willingness to travel 1-10 days each month to various relocation sites across the U.S. One year management experience and/or one year leasing consultant experience (highly preferred, not required) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Working knowledge of HUD housing opportunity zone policies or other government policies Able to provide timely and accurate information and feedback to stakeholders based on established policies and procedures Ability to collaborate with and assist internal and external stakeholders in person, large group settings, writing or by telephone with routine issues and concerns Ability to review and prepare documents for senior or executive level review Demonstrated capability in problem solving, critical thinking and process improvements
