Civil Litigation Associate Attorney Position

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced civil litigator to join our Austin office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of defense experience in areas such as general liability, premises liability, auto accidents, worksite accidents, products liability cases, or construction defect cases. Strong research and writing skills are essential, and trial experience is a prerequisite. Experience in appellate work is considered a valuable plus. While bringing along your own clients is preferred, if not, rest assured, we have ample work to keep you engaged. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for all aspects of assigned cases, including discovery, motion practice, and trials, while maintaining a collaborative approach.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in civil litigation defense.
- Expertise: General liability, premises liability, auto accidents, worksite accidents, products liability, or construction defect cases.
- Skills: Strong research and writing skills. Trial experience is a must.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Client Base: While bringing along clients is beneficial, it is not mandatory.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES Superior intellect and quick grasp of complex legal issues, as evidenced by superior grades in law school and/or work experience in similar settings. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as needed to get any task done. Good organizational and project management skills. Proficient in the use of on-line legal research services and legal resources. Superior legal writing skills. Excellent oral communication. Must have sound judgment. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field s concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to work collaboratively and as a member of a team with internal and external contacts. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and situations. Proven willingness to work hard in a fast-paced atmosphere. Experience with use of document/discovery databases (e.g. Relativity). EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING Must be a graduate of an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan or ability to obtain admission upon commencement of employment.
