pThroughout OCU Northavon Group has been experiencing a sustained period of growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector Due to this and our continued work winning success we currently have an urgent opportunity for an experienced Water Design Manager to be based in Taunton South Walesspecializing in Civil Mechanical and Electrical systems you will be responsible for designing developing and managing waterrelated projects across the United Kingdom Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering sustainable and efficient solutions in the water industry You will collaborate with a diverse team of Design engineers technicians Design houses and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and on scheduleppstrongDuties and ResponsibilitiesstrongpulliWater System Design You will develop detailed designs for water distribution and treatment systems including pumps pipelines valves control systems and electrical equipment Ensure compliance with industry standards codes and regulationsliliProject Management Lead and coordinate projects from inception to completion overseeing design implementation and commissioning phases Collaborate with other teams including civil engineers environmental engineers and construction professionalsliliTechnical Expertise Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of water systems Resolve complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions to optimize project outcomesliliCost Estimation Prepare accurate cost estimates and budget projections for waterrelated projects Monitor project expenses and make costeffective decisions to meet financial objectivesliliQuality Assurance Conduct thorough quality checks on design documents drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirementsliliSustainability and Environmental Considerations Integrate sustainable practices and environmental considerations into design and construction processes aiming to minimize the impact on natural resourcesliliRisk Management Identify potential risks and challenges related to project delivery and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project successliliClient Engagement Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and objectives Regularly update them on project progress and address any concerns or inquiriesliliRegulatory Compliance Stay uptodate with industry regulations and standards to ensure designs and projects meet all relevant legal requirementsliliTeam Collaboration Foster effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and other stakeholders to achieve seamless project executionliulpppstrongSkills and ExperiencestrongpulliBachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related fieldliliProfessional Engineering (PE) licensure or Chartered Engineer status is preferredliliProven experience in the design and management of waterrelated projects with a focus on both mechanical and electrical systemsliliIndepth knowledge of water distribution treatment processes and related equipmentliliProficiency in relevant design and analysis softwaretools proficiency in AutoCAD softwareliliStrong project management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesliliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and clientsliliUnderstanding of sustainability principles and environmental considerations in engineering projectsliliFamiliarity with UK water industry regulations and codesliliProblemsolving attitude and ability to think creatively to overcome engineering challengesliulpppstrongCompany InformationstrongppEstablished in OCU Group is one of the fastest growing utility engineering contractors in the UK with a long successful track record in delivering customerfocused civil engineering solutionsppWorking directly with many of the countrys leading bluechip power water telecoms and rail clients we are looking for the very best talent to join our growing teamppWe pride ourselves on empowering our employees and offering opportunities for them to take control of their own personal development and career progression in a supportive environmentppWe believe that being successful is a choiceppWe choose to be successfulppWe are OCU One Company Unitedppbrp
