Accounting Manager

Location: On-Site - Virginia

Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00

Compensation Package: 10% Bonus Plan

Requirements:

  • Accounting Degree Required
  • 3 years of experience in Casino Accounting
  • 1 year of accounting supervisory experience

About the Role

The role of the Accounting Manager is to support the organization in its strategic planning and business process evaluation through the provision of precise and punctual financial reports. Additionally, the Accounting Manager plays a key role in the establishment and upkeep of accounting policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the monthly financial closing process.
  • Prepares financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing and documentation of systems, policies, procedures and standards of various financial areas where appropriate.
  • Make recommendations to strengthen or streamline current practices.
  • Prepares journal entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepares and/or assists with financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and from departments.
  • Audits various functions in Finance and other departments.
  • Gathers and maintains information to assist with Quarterly and Yearly Audits for Internal and External auditors.
  • Prepares and/or assists with detailed account analysis.
  • Analyzes fluctuations in departmental results and variances from budgets.
  • Assists staff with General Ledger system and Fixed Asset accounting system.
  • Coordinates and supports business and financial planning, including short and long term financial forecasting.
  • Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
