Your Role

We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Metrology Engineer. This role will be responsible for both coordination and being on the floor. The successful candidate will have experience with thermal mapping and general calibration, with a strong technical aptitude and mechanical mindset.

  • Perform hands-on calibration of a wide range of equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Conduct thermal mapping studies for controlled environments to validate and optimize equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve calibration-related issues in collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize calibration needs.
  • Coordinate calibration schedules, ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all calibration and thermal mapping activities comply with relevant industry regulations (e.g., FDA, cGMP).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all calibration and thermal mapping processes.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.


Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in metrology, with a focus on calibration and thermal mapping, in the pharmaceutical industry or FDA regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, CFR part 210/211, CFR part 820, etc.) related to metrology.
  • Ability to perform calibration and metrology work in both laboratory settings and manufacturing settings.
  • Strong technical aptitude and mechanically inclined.
  • Demonstrates strong drive to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Travel is required. At PSC Biotech, many of our projects and clients are located in various regions around the country. Therefore, we value candidates who are willing and able to travel as needed for project assignments and client engagements. The ability to adapt to different locations, cultures, and work environments is essential, as it allows our team members to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues nationally.
