Job Description
Role. CPA / Financial Controller
Essential Qualifications
Manage all aspects of Financial Reports, Financial Statements and special analyses and Information reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis , both to internal and external constituents....
Coordinate annual audits with external and internal auditors
Work with Regulatory team on SEC. Reporting requirements-e.g. FOCUS reports.
Role
Oversee general ledger account maintenance and data entry ensuring records systems are maintained in accordance with GAAP
Work closely with the Operations department team on month-end closes and other issues.
Document Portfolios and procedures surrounding accounting functions.
Provide reconciliation of maintenance of GAAP reporting (including FOCUS reporting)
Opine on revenue recognition and other accounting policy questions as necessary.
Perform detailed review of monthly account reconciliation and Variance analysis MTD. YTD
on account level basis and Legal entry level.
Preferred educational Qualifications::
CPA Public Accounting Auditor
Expertise in Financial Services Sector
Workday and One Stream are a plus.
Swap Based Security Dealer Regulatory Reporting experience a real plus !!!
7 to 12 years experience with
Financial Services Businesses
Broker Dealer experience a Plus
Comp range $200K to $275 K

In addition to CPA certification, actionable knowledge of the following is required: Accounting regulations, SEC Reporting, laws, and rules Economic principles GAAP FASB Rules Financial reporting Data analysis Project management Employee management Federal and state tax procedures Accounting functions payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Budgeting Procurement Forecasting Regulations, laws, and rules
