Essential Functions and Responsibilities Job Description
As a Verified Phone Auditor, you will conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by gathering and reviewing policyholders records, and applying manual rules and company standards. This is a fully remote position and you will work from home to conduct audits. No travel required.
A Verified Phone Auditor will perform the following tasks:
- Prepare for the audit by identifying the necessary information and type of records needed.
- Prepare and mail letters to request required information.
- Correspond with insureds representative via phone, email and mail.
- Examine data to determine correct classifications for business activities and write an effective description of operations.
- Prepare a complete audit document, explain the results to insured and communicate the results for review staff.
- Enter progress notes, completes and submits audits for review.

Skills Required:
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting or commercial insurance
- Knowledge of Workmans Compensation, General /Liability insurance audits
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial documents
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Visual Audit software is a plus
- Ability to communicate well with external and internal customers
- Represent NEIS in a professional manner
Preferred:
- Previous field audit or phone audit experience
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Accounting or related field
