Salary Range: $100 per hour with flex

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 15 years of management experience in accounting
• Strong Excel Skills - must be able to create pivot tables, vlookups etc.
• Experience with Sage is a plus

About the Role

This organization is looking for a temporary Controller to join their team to fill in while they work on hiring a permanent controller to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing the day to day accounting functions including GL, A/P, A/R, Payroll, financial reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the CFO
• Overseeing the Accounting department which includes an Assistant Controller, AP Manager, AR Manager and an AP clerk and maintaining day to day accounting functions.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Training and developing accounting staff
• Responsible for ensuring that all balance sheet and agreed-upon income statement accounts, including system/control accounts, are actively and accurately reconciled monthly and that reconciliations are prepared timely
• Development of new policies and procedures
• Collaboration with the finance department
