You ll be based out of Baton Rouge, LA service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle, travel est 40%
You ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or air compressors
Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
You will either be out on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
At least 4-6 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, with a strong background in generator maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Commercial or industrial experience in the fields of generators and HVAC systems.
Possession of an EPA Universal certification for HVAC technicians.
Willingness and enthusiasm to work in the field.
Multiskilled technician on Power and HVAC
Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
Valid driver s license

Conduct routine inspections and corrosion surveys of pipelines, tanks, and related equipment. Perform cathodic protection system tests, maintenance, and repairs. Collect and analyze data related to corrosion rates and environmental factors. Implement corrosion mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate materials and coatings.
