CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client, an established manufacturing company with its US headquarters in WNY, is looking to hire a Chemical Process Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize various chemical engineering techniques to ensure the successful manufacturing of quality specialty materials
- Examine current processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and operational effectiveness
- Evaluate results to ensure both internal/external expectations are being met or exceeded
- Process controls and run experiments to develop and test the effectiveness of new procedures
- Prepare reports to present to upper management outlining results and make educated recommendations for improvements
- Perform Root Cause Analysis to investigate issues regarding production and/or processes
- Actively participate in launching new technologies alongside the product development team
- Develop and implement improved processes for reclaiming precious metals and radioactive elements
- Act as the functional safety expert in assigned areas and ensure processes are completed with the highest level of safety
- Ensure all equipment is operating appropriately and efficiently
- Clearly communicate maintenance needs regarding chemicals and laboratory equipment and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Complete special projects in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time, direct hire
- Standard 40-hour work week with minimal overtime
- M-F 8:00AM 5:00PM; 100% in-office
- $60,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience

- Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
- 2+ years experience in engineering in a manufacturing/production environment
- Lean Six Sigma preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills, analytical, and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated
