Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Decorah, Iowa

Searching for a Quality Assurance Manager. This individual plays a vital role within the Processing Management Team, utilizing their extensive quality expertise to optimize production and product quality. This position is responsible for maintaining FSSC 22000 certification and ensuring adherence to QMS requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager also takes the lead in initiating process enhancements and collaborates closely with production and quality teams to boost efficiency.

Searching for a Quality Assurance Manager. This individual plays a vital role within the Processing Management Team, utilizing their extensive quality expertise to optimize production and product quality. This position is responsible for maintaining FSSC 22000 certification and ensuring adherence to QMS requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager also takes the lead in initiating process enhancements and collaborates closely with production and quality teams to boost efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within a food manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ISO and QMS.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management practices (a plus).
- Familiarity with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and various quality documentation software.
- Experience in managing customer complaint processes and resolutions.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct periodic reviews of QMS with the Management Team and establish objectives for improving quality, products, and processes.
- Supervise both internal and external audits.
- Manage customer concerns, conducting in-depth Root Cause Analysis and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions.
- Lead the Food Safety Quality Culture Team.
- Provide guidance and training to the Internal Audit Team.
- Maintain third-party certifications, including Kosher, Halal, and Organic.
- Offer Quality Awareness Training to new and existing employees.
- Serve as the Quality liaison with current and potential customers, ensuring the retrieval and upkeep of required documents.
- Maintain FSSC 22000 Certification.
- Oversee Quality Management System processes and provide employee training.
- Lead and mentor Quality Technicians.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
