Senior Data Modeler

NexGen IOT Solutions are searching for a Senior Data Modeler for a Direct Placement assignment with one of our premier clients in the US.


Designation: Sr. Data Modeler Base

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid, 2-3 days a week) OR Remote profiles can be considered.

Must Have: Wholesale Structured Lending Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field. Master's in Computing related to scalable and distributed computing is a major plus Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirements definition, analysis, and the design of conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Lead data discovery discussions with Business / Application SMEs and map the business requirements to conceptual, logical and physical data modelling solutions
• Conduct data model reviews with project team members and capture technical metadata through data modelling tools
• Ensure data model designs efficiently support BI, ML/Analytics, AWS application back-end and end user requirements through modelling of Relational databases and 'NewSQL/NOSQL' databases like AWS DynamoDB, Neptune Graph
• Collaborate with Data Architects/Engineers for data model management, documentation, and version control
• Capture CDE (Critical Data Elements) and work with Business/Data Engineers to translate into Edit check rules, Data Quality check scenarios MUST-HAVE
• 12+ years of overall IT experience, primarily on Data skills
• Experience in data modelling of systems / applications for Credit Risk of Wholesale Structured Lending (not 'Risk Modelling' / 'Credit Risk Modelling')
• 8+ years of strong Conceptual, Logical and Physical data modelling skills
• Fluent in both normalized and dimensional model disciplines and techniques and experience in modelling Data Warehouse and Data Lake environments; SQL
• Strong Experience in in using Erwin or another industry standard modelling tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill including the ability to describe complex technical concepts in relatable terms. Strategic and Critical thinker GOOD-TO-HAVE
• Exposure to Wealth Management overall
• Exposure to Ontology, OWL, Prot g , Industry-standard models
• Exposure to ML / Analytics
• Exposure to ETL tools and Big Data Technologies / Spark (Python or Scala)
