Job Description

As a Senior Tax Accountant specializing in High Net Worth Individuals, your role will focus on providing sophisticated tax services to affluent clients. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for high net worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop and implement tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
  • Advising clients on estate tax planning, gift tax, and charitable giving strategies.
  • Conducting tax research to ensure compliance with current tax regulations.
  • Handling complex tax issues, such as capital gains, passive income, and multi-state taxation.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior tax staff on tax matters and client interactions.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through personalized service and tailored tax advice.
  • Assisting with IRS audits and inquiries related to high net worth clients.
  • Staying current with changes in tax laws and their implications for high net worth individuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of tax accounting experience with a focus on high net worth individuals.
  • Expertise in estate and gift tax planning.
  • Proficiency in tax software and accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of complex tax issues.
  • Experience with managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Exceptional client relationship and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations related to affluent clients.
