IT Director

• Lead, mentor and provide the technical strategy for the internal IT Team which includes Database Administrators, Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, DevOps Engineers and Corporate IT staff
  
• Plan and champion an enterprise-wide transition to DevOps, Product Team, and Platform team delivery model
  
• Advocate for and execute a plan to architect and adopt cloud native technologies in each product
  
• Lead the Infrastructure as Code (IAC) development for all product and platform teams
  
• Coordinate operational activities amongst multiple groups of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical for projects
  
• Develop goals, strategies, and initiatives across the team in alignment with both development groups and security engineers to enhance the team s ability to deliver quicker, with more quality, and less money
  
• Manage the technical operations team to ensure the front line team can successfully restore service and respond to production issues in accordance with SLAs and agile methodology
  
• Create and review departmental policies & procedures that help the IT Team and the company to deliver better solutions
  
• Define service goals, objectives and metrics to ensure alignment around engineering efforts
  
• Create and Maintain an inventory of systems and products as the record of authority
  
• Identify Key Performance and Key Risk Indicators and associated metrics to measure IT effectiveness in mitigating IT Risk.
  
• Stay current on technology and industry technology trends that may have impact on current and future hosting operations
  
• Manage new technology vendor or data center vendor selection using a formal process, such as a RFP process
  
• Manage/negotiate multiple vendor relationships and contracts
  
• Manage resources that handle the corporate IT department
  

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical IT Operations experience delivering high availability customer facing or internal services
  
• 5+ years of management experience leading IT and Operations teams
  
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps, IaC, Agile, and Azure cloud technologies
  
• Ability to transition technical organization to DevOps, Product, and Platform team model
  
• Demonstrated ability to build, grow and manage a team of resources to automate and manage large infrastructure
  
• Deep knowledge of Service Management and Lean/Six Sigma Process Improvement
  
• Ability to manage multiple geographically dispersed cloud, co-location, as well as Managed Hosting Sites
  
• Demonstrated success in sustaining exceptional uptime and reliability (> 99.9%)
  
• Ability to assist the business development teams in the RFP/RFI responses from a Technical Operations standpoint
  
• Demonstrated success in automation of deployment platforms
  
• Strong strategic and technical management skills
  
• Demonstrated ability to optimize capacity and cost management
  
• Experience running cloud computing platforms and/or Public/Private cloud providers
  
• General knowledge of network security, system hardening, and encryption
  
• Expertise in capacity planning and performance engineering for large scale web applications
  
• Ability to assess applicability and plan for introduction of new technology approaches (such as Software Defined Networking)
  
• Ability to manage Capacity Planning, Performance Testing, Disaster Recovery Testing and support enterprise Risk Management initiatives
  
• Familiarity with running a public key infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authority (CA) and supporting components (such as Hardware Security Modules)
  
• Experience in managing a multi-million dollar technology budget
  
  

• Bachelors degree in technical discipline
