Job Description
Your IT Recruiter is seeking a Software Engineer for our client.
The position is 50% remote however, manager is looking for candidates in the Owego, NY area.
This position can convert to a perm position at the Owego, NY site.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Ensures software standards are met.
Active Secret Clearance is NOT required to start but candidate may need clearance during contract assignment. Please only submit candidates that hold Secret Clearance or have held Secret Clearance with an investigation within the past 5 years.

Requirements
Required Experience:
Experience in embedded software test development, C++ development experience, and Agile development using Jira or similar tool.
Familiarity with software testing, processor firmware and SW architecture (OS based) - SW Drivers and FW wrappers, and Processor and microprocessor firmware architecture (non-OS based).
Development experience of Secure Boot on Intel based platform.
BA Degree is Required.
Experience in embedded software test development, C++ development experience, and Agile development using Jira or similar tool.
